Why are we called The Pool Boys?
Well, just like three clumsy boys in the pool, we wanted a name that made people think ‘Wow! We are legally obligated to watch!’

The Pool boys have been making award-winning jokes together for close to a decade in one form or another, from sold out Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows to hosting pub trivia. We think Shakespeare said it best when he wrote ‘three OK guys and one media writer with nothing to go off’.

But, listen, we get it. The snags, they are a-cookin’, and the cutlets are a-grillin’. Even your mate’s new partner’s Vege Patty is a-sittin’ in the microwave, and you can’t be reasonably expected to watch ALL the time, can you???

Lucky you, The Pool Boys now offer a listening-only format!
Pool Boys Recommend!

Tune in every week for more sounds hanging on that teetering edge between hysterical laughter and fear.

STUART 1.png

Stuart Owen

It all started when Stuart's mum came home with a pair of adorable little tap shoes.. Her regret was immediate. Once Stuart learned he could get people's attention by making loud noises he decided to make that his career. A tap dancer, actor, writer, musician, and all round pompous artist, Stuart has been making creative splashes in many forms for many years. Graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2019 where he studied acting and theatre making, Stuart has decided to take his extensive physical training to the world of podcasting.

CHRIS 1.png

Chris Heaslip

As neurotic as George Costanza, Chris cut his teeth on Sydney's open mic scene while circling his Pool Boy comrades at Macquarie University's Drama Society - DRAMAC, taking part in over 20 different shows, including 3 Comedy Revues. After becoming President of the society, and finally proving to everyone how much of a control freak he really is, he would go on to perform in Sydney Fringe Festival shows Our Father Who Art Nearly in Heaven (with Stu) and Pool Boys - Need for Speedos (with Davey).

DAVE 1.png

Davey Reynolds

People Magazine’s Sexiest Manchild of the year. From notes found at his estate, police have managed to put these clues together:

1. Davey Reynolds is a writer, robe enthusiast and comedykin.

2. On the weekends, Davey likes to participate in philanthropy (receiving).

3. Davey thinks too many comedians are called ‘Dave’, but still refers to himself as such accidentally.

4. Has written, co-written and performed in countless comedy shows, and still aspires one day to match the nigh-impossibly high standard once set by Andy Griffith’s ‘The Day My Bum Went Psycho’.

5. It’s all been about this.

6. Look at me, I’m Andy Griffiths

7. I think it’s fun to look into the soul of Davey Reynolds and find it wanting.

8. Davey likes it when the Big Truck Go Toot.

There is a reward offered for any information on Davey leading to an arrest.
